Space is a recently established independent Art Gallery and Event Space in the Creative Quarter of Folkestone, the home of contemporary art exhibition The Folkestone Triennial which forms part of the arts-led regeneration of Folkestone. Space Gallery will offer Artists, Painters, photographers and musicians a unique, versatile new venue, event space and gallery for art exhibitions and installations.
The Folkestone Macmillan Art Show
I am excited to be taking part in the Folkestone Macmillan Art Show, which is coming to Georges House Gallery, from Friday 17th to Tuesday 28th February 2012. It brings together a vibrant collection of work from over 40 talented, Kent-based artists with an affinity to Folkestone and the surrounding area. Georges House Gallery is located a few minutes from the picturesque harbour at the top of the seaside town’s famous windy, cobbled street. The gallery will be open 10am – 5pm every day for the duration of the show.

100% DONATIONS
All of the exhibited work is available to buy and Macmillan Cancer Support will receive up to 100% of the proceeds (but no less than 50%) from each sale. The work will appeal to a wide spectrum of tastes and is priced for all budgets. It will be a truly unique opportunity for seasoned collectors and casual art lovers alike to invest in an original masterpiece and in the process aid the vital work of Macmillan Cancer Support. If everything sells, over £10,000 will be raised for Macmillan.
QUATTUORDECIM

“QUATTUORDECIM” a collaborative book by fourteen printmakers
The project was originally conceived by Letitia Tunstall who brought 14 printmakers together with the idea of making a collaborative artists book entitled Quattuordecim [14]. Each artist produced 15 original prints, one for each of the participating artists and one for exhibition. Individually the artists then bound their books using traditional and highly original bindings. The exciting results can be seen at this exhibition together with other work often inspired by the book.

Xmas Bite Size is presented by the Folkestone Arts Collective and our second "grab and go" art exhibition of this kind. Each artist’s picture is a set petite "bite size" of 6 x 8 inches, set uniform frame and at a set value price of only £40 A varied selection of art styles that make it a worthy visit to the stylish Burlington Hotel in Earls Avenue, Folkestone.
So grab yourself a piece of local art for yourself or that great Christmas present for a family member, friend or business client maybe. There will also be musical entertainment in the piano room area of the Burlington Hotel with Christmas Carols sung and a classical quartet playing popular classical pieces (see our website for times of the performances and all details). A raffle with great prizes. Lunches, teas, coffees, cakes and refreshments available at the hotel.
